Bristol Bay Fisheries Report

Nightly at 6:30 p.m., replayed at 10pm and 2am, with an early broadcast at 1:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday

The Bristol Bay Fisheries Report is a KDLG News production, focused on the massive commercial fishery in Bristol Bay. The show airs nightly at 6:30 p.m., with an early broadcast at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and replays at 10 p.m. and again at 2 a.m.

(For you night owls, the 2:00 a.m. hour has a rundown of the Economic Opportunities, Trading Post, the area/marine weather forecast and tides.)

The BBFR is hosted by KDLG Fisheries Reporter Molly Dischner with contributions from KDLG News Director Dave Bendinger and reporters Matt Martin and Hannah Colton.

Fishing Time in Egegik... No Fishing Time in Ugashik

Fishermen across Bristol Bay are anxiously waiting for more sockeye. In the Egegik District the Alaska Department of Fish and Game gave the fleets some fishing time on Monday and the catch was around 100-thousand fish. The also got some fishing time on Tuesday. KDLG’s Mike Mason has the details.
