Social Scientists in Bristol Bay for NOAA Project

They'll be holding community meetings in Dillingham and Naknek, and are looking to schedule individual interviews over the next two weeks.

A team of social scientists from NOAA’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center will be in Bristol Bay this week and next, looking to talk with folks around several communities in an effort to gather information that could be useful for fisheries management decisions in the future. KDLG’s Dave Bendinger has more:

Sept 17-19  -- Dillingham

Sept 20-21 -- Aleknagik

Sept 22-26 -- King Salmon, Naknek, South Naknek

Public Meeting in Dillingham:  Wednesday, 9/18, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Bristol Inn Conference Room

Public Meeting in Naknek, King Salmon:  Thursday, September 9/26, 6:00-9:00 pm
