Results from BBRSDA election for two board seats

KDLG:  Results from the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association’s board election were released in April.

Abe Williams was elected to Seat A, which is reserved for an Alaska resident. Williams beat challenger Alex Smith 281 to 236 margin.

For seat E, reserved for a non-Alaska resident, Buck Gibbons won with 353 votes to David Harsilla's 172 votes.

A replacement for the board seat vacated by Robert Heyano has not been named yet.

Acting board president Fritz Johnson wrote in an email that BBRSDA is still accepting letters of interest and resumes for the open Executive Director position, and a recruitment committee is reviewing early applicants.
