The Sockeye Swim League in Naknek had four young swimmers qualify for the Junior Olympics this past weekend.
KDLG: Official time keepers and other student swimmers came to the Bristol Bay Borough for a few days of competition and swim instruction.
Troy Hamon is the lead swim couch for the Sockeye Swim League.
"This is the first time we've had a team coming out with the officials. And they swam some of the events, give some of our kids to look forward to and up to, nothing like getting beat by a better swimmer,” says Hamon.
The Junior Olympics will be in Anchorage in two weeks.
Hamon says he’s still not sure how many of those who qualified are planning to attend.
