Michael Swain now President-Elect of the Association of Alaska School Boards

Bristol Bay Borough School Board President, Michael Swain, is now President-Elect of the Association of Alaska School Boards. He will serve in this position for a year before becoming President of the AASB.

The Bristol Bay Borough School District announced today that Michael Swain is now the President-Elect of the Association of Alaska School Boards. He has been the Bristol Bay Borough School Board president for 8 years. This role is a progressive leadership role, meaning that he was elected last year to the AASB’s governing body last year by its 15-member board. He served as a Secretary/Treasurer. This year he will be the President-Elect, and next year he will serve as the President of the Association. Swain is a small business owner and a lifelong resident of King Salmon.
