Council protest and resident pushback to new liquor store location in Dillingham

Mike Keenan wants to transfer a liquor license from the store inside the Willow Tree to a new location on Raspberry circle. The city council heard an earful about that idea Thursday.

Olsen’s Liquor Store, which operates the downtown Dillingham location and package store inside the Willow Tree Bar, would like to transfer one license to a new location on Raspberry Circle. Some of the residents who nearby don't like the idea, and the city council protested the transfer on account of poor public noticing. Other residents say the new location will be a welcome offering. KDLG's Dave Bendinger reports on the public testimony heard Thursday night.
