The annual Business of Fish gets underway next week.
Alice Ruby, Director of the Economic Development and Brokerage for BBEDC, says participants can expect to get new information and educational information about the upcoming fishing season.
"We'll have a couple of the larger processors that will be there talking about the world wide salmon market and how that's affecting the prices this year, which most of our fishermen know that's occurring, but these will be people that can speak to it a little more knowledgeable than us,” said Ruby.
The workshops will also include presentations from regional Fish and Game officials, among others.
The meeting begins at noon on Tuesday May 5th at the Bristol Bay Campus at noon in Dillingham and on the eastside the meeting will beat noon on Thursday May 7th at SAVEC in King Salmon.
