The members of the Alaska Federation of Natives elected 2-new co-chairs during the annual convention that wrapped up Saturday. There were 4 nominees for the co-chair positions, including incumbent Ralf Anderson from Dillingham. The candidate with the most votes in Saturday’s election was Ana Hoffman from Bethel. She’s the President and CEO of the Bethel Native Corporation. Hoffman has a degree in Psychology from Stanford and a Master’s Degree in Rural Development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. As part of the new staggered terms for AFN co-chairs, Hoffman will serve a 2-year term.
