Three children injured in Togiak ATV crash, one critically

Three young girls were riding an ATV that rolled over near the Togiak airport. One sustained critical injuries and is being treated in Seattle.

Early Wednesday morning, Alaska State Troopers in Dillingham recieved a report of a single ATV accident in Togiak. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 10-year-old girl was driving the ATV with two 10-year-old, female passengers. They were driving toward the airport when the driver lost control, and the vehicle rolled onto its side.

The driver was transported to Dillingham hospital and later transferred to Seattle due to critical injuries. One of the passengers was treated at the Togiak clinic and released, and the other was later transported to Anchorage for non-life threatening injuries.

An AST investigation is ongoing. Neither the driver nor the passengers were wearing helmets.
