Registered sex offender arrested for allegedly molesting young girl in Manokotak

Samuel Alexie Nicketa, 34, was arrested by state troopers earlier this month in Manokotak after his brother Vincent Nicketa reported he had seen him twice touching a 10-year-old girl during the night.

The sexual abuse is alleged to have occurred on November 5. Vincent Nicketa told troopers that when he got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, he came back and found Samuel crouched on the floor next to the victim. A few hours later it happened again. Samuel Nicketa was allegedly touching the victim between her legs.

Vincent said his brother appeared intoxicated.

Troopers charged Nicketa with second degree sexual abuse of a minor, and held him on a $15,000 warrant until his arraignment. Magistrate Tina Reigh increased the bail to $50,000.

Samuel Nicketa is a registered sex offender, following a conviction of second degree sexual assault and second degree sexual abuse in 2006. He was sentenced to three years in jail and four years of probation for those convictions.
