One injured in Sunday morning crash south of Aleknagik

Troopers say alcohol and speed were "significant factors" when Ford Expedition driven by 21-year-old Kendall Alvarado rolled and went off the roadway early Sunday.

KDLG: One person was injured when a Ford Expedition drove off Aleknagik Lake Road early Sunday morning.

State troopers say the accident happened around 5:00 a.m. near Silver Salmon Creek. The Expedition rolled over and ended up in the woods by the downhill curve in the road.

Volunteers with Dillingham's EMS responded. Of the four passengers, one was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Behind the wheel was 21 year old Kendall Alvarado of Dillingham. Troopers say alcohol and speed were "significant factors" in the crash, but did not specify what if any charges will be filed.
