New Daily High Temp Recorded Wednesday in King Salmon

Wednesday was a very warm day across much of Southwest Alaska and 3 daily record highs were set. The high temperature in King Salmon was 80 degrees on Wednesday. That edges out the previous daily high temperature of 79-degrees set back in 2002. Wednesday’s high temperature in Bethel was 78-degrees. That beats the previous high of 76-degrees recorded back in 1965. Down on the Alaska Peninsula the daily high reached 70-degrees in Cold Bay. That far exceeds the previous record of 65-degrees set in 1978. Earlier today the record high temperature for Saint Paul Island was tied at 63-degrees. The official high temperature in Dillingham on Wednesday was 79-degrees. That didn’t break any records.
