Knife wielding man arrested after threatening woman

DILLINGHAM:  Police arrested Robin Chythlook, 52, of Aleknagik Friday night after he allegedly threatened people with a knife during a birthday party in his honor at a ForestView apartment.

Chythlook's daughter originally called police to have him escorted out of the apartment, saying he was arguing and making threatening statements. As an officer was on his way to the scene, the woman called back to say Chythlook now had a knife in his hands and was threatening to stab people.

According to police, the woman's mother was able to knock the knife away and the two women pushed him out of the apartment. Police say one of the women suffered a minor knife wound.

The arresting officer said that Chythlook was intoxicated.

He was charged with third degree assault and held on $5,000 bail pending arraignment.
