DNR Will Allow Limited Helo Landings in Wood Tikchik

Nuvista Electric and Light Cooperative is authorized to use helicopters for a total of seven days around Chikuminuk Lake this season.Nuvista has been funded by the Alaska State Legislature to determine the feasibility of building a dam at Chikuminuk Lake in the Wood Tikchik State Park. DNR’s Division of Parks and Recreation has granted Nuvista special permission to use helicopters in the park to continue their research this summer, but on a fairly limited basis.
