Dillingham Woman Arrested for Indecent Exposure

"I'm sorry, I was drinking..." said Crystal Noden, 31, in court Thursday, after being arraigned on misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure.

DILLINGHAM:  Crystal Dawn Noden, 31, was arrested by Dillingham Police early Thursday for exposing herself at the Forest View Apartments. Noden had been drinking, and her blood alcohol content was tested at .131, according to police.

Terry Clark called the police, saying Noden had been exposing her genitals in an area where young children were present.

The police found Noden nude from the waist down. An officer provided her some pants, then she was arrested and taken to the Dillingham jail.

The police said she continued to expose herself at the jail, and tried to solicit one of the on-duty officers to engage in sexual acts.

She was arraigned Thursday on two counts of indecent exposure, both class B misdemeanors, and one count of solicitation, which was dropped by the prosecution for lacking probable cause. If convicted, she could face a maximum of 90 days in prison and a $2000 fine for each of the indecent exposure charges.

Noden told the magistrate she was sorry for her actions, saying she was drinking and "acting crazy" at the time.

The prosecutor asked that Noden be held on $500 bail, suggesting her behavior was dangerous to children. The magistrate made note that Noden's behavior was tied directly to alcohol use, and released her on no bail, but set terms she not drink any alcohol while on release.
