Dillingham man sold fake heroin, say Police

John Filipek III, 25, allegedly fronted fake heroin to a woman and threatened her with a fake gun when she later refused to pay.

DILLINGHAM: Police tell KDLG News they arrested John Filipek III, 25, Wednesday evening on felony charges of extortion and delivering imitation drugs, allegedly fake heroin.

The charges date to an incident in November. A 20-year-old woman told police she was fronted $400 worth of a substance Filipek claimed was heroin. After trying it, the woman said she realized it was fake.  When she confronted the seller, the woman says Filipek pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot if she didn’t pay the $400. Fearful, she then contacted police.

Police say when they searched Filipek's home, they found the gun in question and it turned out to be a "realistic looking BB pistol".  There was also some substance similar to the what the woman described to police as the fake heroin.

Filipek is in custody and expected to be arraigned on the two felony charges Thursday morning.
