Dillingham competes in Homer basketball tournament

At the round robin basketball tournament in Homer this weekend, Dillingham competed against teams from Homer, Kotzebue and Sitka.

Dillingham took some hard losses at a round robin basketball tournament in Homer this weekend. The Wolverines faced off against teams from Kotzebue High School, Homer High School and Mt. Edgecumbe High School.

The Kotzebue girls’ team and the Homer boys’ team took first place in their brackets. Both teams finished with a record of three wins and no losses.

Dillingham returned home with no victories. The boys’ team fell to Mt. Edgecumbe 57-14, to Homer 60-17 and to Kotzebue 55-32. The Lady Wolverines were routed by Mt. Edgecumbe 52-10, Homer 54-11 and Kotzebue 44- 40.

The Wolverines will play on their home court this weekend. The Pen-Air Invitation begins in Dillingham on Feb. 15.
