Chignik Bay aircraft damaged, man arrested for mischief

KDLG:  A 24-year-old California man was arrested in Chignik Bay last week after he allegedly caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to an aircraft parked at the airstrip.

Anthony Michael Jackson, an employee at the fish processing vessel Ocean Fresh, is accused of walking up the fuselage and jumping off the wing of a 1967 Citabra plane. The owner reported that the trailing edge of the left wing had been broken and damaged. Jackson admitted to troopers that he had been hiking in the area near the aircraft, but did not confirm or deny his involvement in the damage.

Jackson was arraigned on a charge of second degree criminal mischief at the court in Naknek. His bail was set at $7,500.
