AST Releases Identity of Quinhagak Woman Found Dead Monday

From KYUK, Bethel:  Alaska State Troopers have identified the body that was found in Quinhagak Monday afternoon as that of 25-year-old Lisa Johnson. Johnson had been a missing person since February 2nd, not January 2nd as previously reported by AST.

Johnson's body was located off a trail near the end of the new runway in the village. On Tuesday, troopers secured the surrounding area and have been working with the Alaska Bureau of Investigation.

The body will be sent to Anchorage for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Troopers say that the ABI investigators will stay in Quinhagak to advance the investigation.
