Alaska Airlines Orders 5 more Boeing 737-900 Extended Range Aircraft

Alaska Airlines is buying 5-more Boeing 737-900 extended range aircraft worth over $481-million dollars. 2 of the new planes will be ready to go in 2015 followed by 2 more planes in 2016. The final plane should be ready in 2017. The new order supplements the 31 planes Alaska Airlines already has on order with Boeing. The company anticipates having over 130 Boeing 737’s in the fleet by the end of 2014.
