"God has spared my son, he is my miracle," said Stanley Bradford's mother, Vivian Active. Bradford remained under the careful eye of doctors Thursday.

DILLINGHAM:  At 8:45pm Wednesday night in Togiak, 8-year old Stanley Bradford was struck by a pickup truck after he crossed the main village road.

Witnesses say the truck had been speeding 30-40 mph before the impact. The driver never got out of the truck, and quickly fled the scene.

Bradford's mother, Vivian Active, witnessed the horrific scene. She rushed to her son's side, who miraculously emerged from underneath the truck with only scrapes and bruises.

Damien Allen Lockuk, 20, was arrested and charged with felony assault, reckless driving, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
