Programming Changes

KDLG has made a few program changes to our schedule.

#1  "Encounters" - A new program to KDLG all about Alaska and its natural wonders and wildlife.  "Encounters" is produced by KCAW in Sitka and airs locally on KDLG Tuesday mornings at 9:06am after BBC News.

#2 "The Classic Rock Block" - For a while, weekday evenings at 9pm has been the home for Modern Rock.  At the request of many listeners and after analysis of the Listener Surveys we have decided to change the weekday 9pm slot from Modern Rock to the more popular format of Classic Rock.  So now 5 days a week at 9pm you can here the Classic Rock giants like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Led Zepplin and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

#3  "Jazz Set" - Late last year Jazz Profiles from NPR ceased production and distribution.  So in place of Jazz Profiles on Thursdays at 11pm we will now offer Jazz Set from NPR.  This program features performances from around the world by prominent and up and coming artists on the Jazz scene.
