The man who Republican’s in Alaska hope can keep one of Alaska’s U.S. Senate seats in Republican hands is a relative newcomer to Alaska politics with some strong views of how the federal government should be changed… especially Social Security. A non-profit think tank called the “Reason Foundation” has released their “Annual Highway Report” which grades the performance of state highway systems. That report puts Alaska’s overall rank as 49th in the Union. That’s an improvement over last year’s report when Alaska ranked dead last. KDLG’s Mike Mason has the details. (3:11)
